Special Olympics New York provides inclusive opportunities for people who are intellectual challenged to participate in sports, discover and unleash the champion within themselves. These athletes experience the thrill of competing in authentic sports. They have overcome many obstacles, however they still remain active for life. Special Olympics continuing mission is to be inclusive no matter what their abilities. Special Olympics New York provides a training ground where those abilities are refined and given room to grow.

The Special Olympics were cancelled due to heavy rain on Saturday September 23. Pythians were supposed to be the official scorekeepers for golf.
